December 31st, 2007 · No Comments

Even thought a lot of general statement says: You don’t need to be expert in the field in order to get rich. But in reality, this is not true, how many of you think Bill Gates is not a computer expert when he started Microsoft? And Warren Buffet knows little about investing?

So the two most important keywords to attaining your goals are to become an expert in your chosen field of endeavor and to become involved with the right people. Bear in mind that everything in life and business is relationships. Hence, investing considerable time and effort into creating healthy and effective relationships with those that you are in contact with, from your customers and employment team to your friends and family members will prove to be invaluable.

The following 8 questions which break into two main categories i.e. Enhance your expert talent and build your relationship, will assist you in strategize your actions toward achieving your goals.

  1. Identify the key result areas of your job, the things you “absolutely, positively” have to do well to be successful in your field.
  2. Identify your weakest key area and start a “do-it-to-yourself” project to become excellent in that area.
  3. Determine the additional knowledge you will need to get to the top of your field, then develop a plan to acquire that knowledge.
