Every time I say yes to something that is unimportant to me, I am actually saying no to something that is important! I realized this in my past working experiences, whenever I said yes to my colleague to help, teach, discuss something that is less or not important to my work or not my first priority, I was end up spent longer hours to clear my backlog.
You can’t be all things to all people, you cannot be Mr. Nice Guy to everyone. The best among us get that. Know your priorities. Know your goals, know what needs to be done over the coming weeks, months or years for ourselves is the most important task in our life game.
As what selfimprovementemporium commented, “Practice the word. Say it to yourself in the mirror, if necessary, but start saying NO. Even no thank you, if it makes you feel better. But believe me, you will be much happier once you take complete control over your time and your life, and the first step is to remember that little two letter word.”
Sure you will get some negative feedback from people around you or even upset your best friends or colleagues. But think this carefully, are we live our life according to the approval of others or aligned with our dreams?

Well Said. No means No. Not only you have to say No to others, you have to say No to yourself.
